For You and Trending
For You
A personalized mix that learns from what you play and engage with, and keeps
refreshing. It’s designed to surface fresh apps and hidden gems, not just the
same handful of hits.
Trending
A pure all-time engagement ranking — the apps the whole community has loved
most. No freshness boost here; it’s the leaderboard of what’s big.

What a feed card shows
Each card is a snapshot of an app:- The visuals carousel — swipe through images and video, including video that plays in the card.
- The creator’s name and handle.
- Engagement counts: likes, comments, saves, and remixes.
- The published date.
- A Try Whip button to play it instantly.
How ranking works, honestly
Whip’s For You ranking rewards the actions that show people really value an app. In plain terms, here’s roughly how the signals stack up:- A remix counts most — about 3× a like.
- A save counts about 2× a like.
- A comment counts about 1.5× a like.
- A like is the baseline.
- Recent plays give an app a lift, so apps people are actually opening rise.
Trending works differently: it’s pure all-time engagement, with no
freshness boost. That’s why a long-loved app can sit at the top of Trending
while newer apps shine in For You.
App of the Day
Once a day, Whip picks one App of the Day for everyone, and sends a heads-up at 10 AM your local time. The pick favors the most-loved app first published in the last week, and no app repeats within a month — so the spotlight keeps moving to new creators. It’s a real shot at the spotlight for a great recent app.More ways to discover

How do I get my app into the feed?
Publish it. Once public, your app can appear in
For You and Trending and under its category — with a fair-shot boost for its
first day.
Do my own plays count?
Do my own plays count?
No. Opening your own app doesn’t boost it in the feed — ranking is about how
other people engage.
