The Search tab is one search for everything on Whip. Type what you’re after and filter your results by Apps, Builders (creators), or Categories. Search is typo-friendly, so a misspelling like “calculater” still finds Calculator, and you’re never left staring at a dead end when nothing matches. Whether you want a specific kind of app or a person to follow, this is where you find it.

One search, three filters

Apps

Find published apps by name or by what they do — trackers, games, quizzes, and everything in between.

Builders

Search for creators by handle or name, then open their profile to see what they’ve made.

Categories

Jump into one of Whip’s categories to browse a whole theme at once.

All at once

One query searches across all of it — filter down only when you want to.

Search that forgives typos

Spelling on a phone is hard, so Whip’s search is built to be forgiving. Type “calculater” and you’ll still find Calculator. You don’t have to get it exactly right — get close, and Whip figures out what you meant.

You’ll never hit a dead end

Haven’t typed anything yet? Search shows you trending apps, so there’s always something worth tapping while you think.

Quick actions on any result

Found an app in your results? Long-press it for quick actions without opening it first — you can save it to your Home, share it, or remix it right there.
Long-press is the fast lane: save an app for later, fire off a share link, or kick off a remix — all from the results list.

Finding people to follow

Search is also how you find your people. Search a name or handle, open a creator’s profile, and tap to follow them. Following builds your network — and you can keep up with the creators whose apps you love. New to Whip? The feed suggests creators worth following too.

Common questions

They’re the same thing — a person who makes apps. Search labels them Builders; elsewhere Whip calls them creators.
No. Search covers published apps. Your private apps live on your Home screen, not in search.
If you’ve blocked each other, you won’t appear in one another’s search. Otherwise, double-check the handle spelling.
Publish it. Published apps — and you as their creator — become searchable across Whip.
